Geraldine initially started working with us to redesign our dining room and living room as we had already started a kitchen extension and loft conversion which I was managing myself. However, we were so impressed with Geraldine we soon asked her to help us with the kitchen dining area, loft bedroom and dressing room. We have really enjoyed working with Geraldine, she listened to our ideas and we really felt that she understood our preferences and tastes. The whole project was managed very efficiently and we were really impressed with Geraldine’s knowledge and design. The building contractors were excellent, they finished on time and we are delighted with the quality of the finish. Geraldine sourced some beautiful furniture for us that we would never have thought of. In particular she designed the most wonderful dressing room in a small unusual space and together with her bespoke cabinet maker, they have given us an extremely efficient use of space. We will definitely work with geraldine in the future as we finish the rest of the rooms in the house and would definitely recommend her to others.

We brought a large three bedroom flat that needed extensive refurbishment. Geraldine managed the whole project from the design phase to completion, including dealing with the local authority. Throughout that period she impressed us with her professionalism, good taste and charm. She also managed to resolve difficult issues with neighbours with tact and diplomacy. Geraldine kept us informed of the progress of the project on a regular basis which she managed to complete on time and within our agreed budget.

In the summer of 2014 we commissioned Geraldine to do the interior design for a major refurbishment of our 1500 sq ft flat, and then to project manage the extensive work required. This included selecting (in consultation with us) an excellent building firm and other specialist trades people, specifying the wide-ranging work in great detail, and then ensuring it was carried out to their and her own high standards – and to time and budget.

We found Geraldine impressive in many ways. She is extraordinarily meticulous in everything that she does. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of fixtures, fittings, furnishings etc. etc. She listened very carefully to what we wanted and found things to suit our taste. But equally, if we found something that we preferred, she was more than happy to accept that. However, if she felt that something really wasn’t practical or right, she said so.

Many of the trades with whom she worked had been working with her for upwards of ten years and clearly had great respect for her. This included the building team, who said that she really knew what she was doing, unlike some interior designers! She designed a bathroom (both good-looking and extremely practical) for us and knew the size of every fitment and screw.

Accurate budgeting is another of Geraldine’s great strengths. She gave us a realistic estimate of how many hours she would need to spend on the job. If something turned out to be more expensive than originally thought, she was very good at looking for ways to cut back elsewhere. She finds lovely things to suit one’s budget.

But above all, Geraldine is a really great person to work with. She is utterly reliable, punctual, fun and with an excellent eye. We would recommend her unreservedly.
